Floorstanding loudspeakers designed for music, films, TV programmes and video games. Their tower design incorporates components compatible with high-resolution audio content and supports Dolby Atmos and DTS technologies, making them suitable for both stereo systems and home cinema setups. Their modern design and relatively compact dimensions compared with traditional floorstanding speakers make them easy to integrate into a variety of home environments.

The speaker system features a Terylene dome tweeter capable of extending the high-frequency response up to 40 kHz. This design helps reproduce fine details and subtle nuances, maintaining clarity and definition with high-resolution recordings and content from compatible music streaming services.

The low-frequency section consists of a 6.5-inch (approximately 165 mm) woofer, supported by two 6.5-inch passive radiators. This configuration helps deliver punchy, responsive bass while controlling distortion and maintaining a clean, articulate midrange. Vocals, musical instruments and sound effects are reproduced with balance, both during music playback and when reproducing film soundtracks.

The cabinet is made from reinforced MDF, designed to minimise unwanted resonances and reduce interference with the drivers' operation. The nickel-plated connection terminals provide a reliable connection, while the removable front grilles are designed to minimise acoustic interference.

The Monitor XT60 speakers share a consistent tonal design with other models in the series, allowing them to be combined with other Polk Audio Monitor XT speakers to create multichannel home cinema systems with consistent sound reproduction across all channels. The combination of an extended-response tweeter, woofer and passive radiators also makes them suitable for everyday stereo listening.
