At the core of its sound is KEF’s latest-generation Uni-Q coaxial driver array, where the tweeter is mounted in the centre of a 165 mm midrange unit. This design allows for a wide, precise and coherent sound dispersion in all directions. Enhancing the low-frequency section, a 165 mm long-throw woofer works in perfect synergy with two equally sized passive radiators (ABRs), delivering deep, dynamic and well-controlled bass response.

Compared to other floorstanding models in the range, the Q700 occupies a middle ground in terms of driver size and air displacement, surpassed only by the larger Q900. Even so, the Q700 offers a full-bodied, articulate and highly detailed sound that can easily fill a room with a rich and enveloping soundstage.

It is ideal both as a front speaker in a multichannel home theatre system and as part of a traditional two-channel stereo setup.
