DALI OBERON 5

The Oberon 5 is a compact and elegant floor-standing speaker that combines DALI’s tradition, innovation, and technology to deliver impressive performance. Inside the cabinet, it houses two 5¼” wood fibre woofers with SMC technology, providing deep, controlled, and well-defined bass, and a 29 mm ultra-lightweight soft dome tweeter that ensures airy highs and detailed response across the midrange. This speaker excels at reproducing any audio material naturally and accurately, from movies to music, offering coherent, realistic, and engaging sound.

The contemporary design is highlighted by rounded edges and a rustic fabric front grille, giving the Oberon series a light and modern appearance, while the shaped aluminium base further enhances the floor-standing models. The driver and crossover design, combined with the cabinet geometry, is engineered to deliver wide sound dispersion: the sound remains consistent even when listening off-axis, without the need to toe-in the speakers. This approach reduces harmonic distortion and diffraction that typically intensify near the central listening axis, ensuring coherent and detailed musical performance.

The woofers’ wood fibre cones combine fine-grain paper pulp and wood fibres, creating a lightweight yet rigid structure that reproduces micro-details of the signal with high precision. SMC technology reduces magnetic and mechanical distortion, improving low-frequency linearity and overall dynamic range.
