The B38 speakers represent the flagship model of Burmester’s B series, combining timeless elegance and a sleek design with outstanding acoustic performance. Designed to blend harmoniously into any environment, the B38 shares with the more compact B18 the ability to deliver a three-dimensional soundstage and incredibly transparent sound, but with greater power and dynamic capability thanks to its larger scale.
The acoustic design features a three-way configuration with a side-firing woofer, engineered to merge a slim, elegant appearance with powerful, punchy bass reproduction that impresses the listener without compromising the aesthetic lightness. The integrated, screwless front panel, typical of Burmester’s style, emphasizes the speaker’s slender shape, making it appear less technical and more like a refined piece of furniture. The aluminum front, enhanced with high-quality matte lacquer, completes the speaker’s sophisticated visual appeal.
The B38 also offers two systems for customizing the listening experience and minimizing room effects. On the rear panel, a two-position switch provides a subtle bass roll-off of 1–3 dB between 150 Hz and 37 Hz. Additionally, a porous foam cylinder can be partially or fully inserted into the bass reflex tube to mechanically adjust the bass response, adapting it to the room’s acoustics or the listener’s personal preference. The result is a speaker that combines elegance, versatility, and immersive sound, capable of reproducing every musical detail with naturalness and depth.
