TRIANGLE BOREA BR05

A large standmount loudspeaker that expands the BOREA range with a design inspired by vintage aesthetics, featuring clean lines, wood-effect finishes and driver trim rings that complement the overall appearance. The understated front panel and contrast between the cabinet and decorative elements give the speaker a look that combines retro influences with contemporary design. It is available in Chestnut, Green, Frosted White, Light Oak and Black Ash finishes.

The mid-bass section features a new 21 cm driver developed specifically for this model, with a natural cellulose pulp cone that has no surface treatment. The carefully engineered cone and dust cap profiles are designed to combine extension, precision and tonal naturalness, delivering detailed reproduction of vocals and musical instruments. The motor assembly also incorporates a copper demodulation ring designed to reduce distortion, while the open-frame basket promotes heat dissipation.

High frequencies are reproduced by the EFS (Efficient Flow System) tweeter, which features a 25 mm fabric dome and a phase plug. This design helps distribute high frequencies evenly, maintaining detailed and consistent sound reproduction.

The cabinet is constructed from high-density MDF panels up to 21 mm thick and incorporates internal bracing and Triangle's proprietary DVAS system. This system helps dissipate some of the mechanical energy generated by the drivers, reducing vibrations transmitted to the cabinet. The dual front-firing bass-reflex ports distribute airflow over a larger surface area, reducing turbulence and supporting deep, controlled bass reproduction, even in installations where the distance from the rear wall is limited.

The sound performance combines a solid low-frequency foundation with rich, nuanced midrange reproduction, bringing out the character of vocals, instruments and percussion without compromising precision. The result is a full-bodied, dynamic sound that remains consistent with the musical character of the BOREA series. The speaker is suitable for rooms measuring approximately 15 to 45 m².

The BR05 can be positioned on the floor using the supplied base or mounted on the dedicated S03 stands, available in black or white. In both configurations, the speaker's 8° tilt directs the drivers towards the listening position. The magnetic front grilles are removable, while the dual binding posts support bi-wiring and bi-amping, offering greater flexibility when integrating the speaker into an audio system.
