The Parva FM3 is a two-way bass-reflex loudspeaker developed in the second half of the 1980s, featuring a design approach that anticipates some of the elements that would become distinctive of Sonus faber's subsequent production. The cabinet is made of solid Italian walnut and combines compact proportions with a substantial construction, weighing approximately 10 kg per speaker.

The acoustic system features an approximately 170 mm mid-woofer and a 28 mm dome tweeter with a magnetic motor. The bass-reflex loading contributes to low-frequency extension, while the specified frequency response ranges from 50 to 20,000 Hz. Sensitivity is rated at 88 dB, with a nominal impedance of 8 ohms and a maximum power handling of 200 watts.

The cabinet construction and use of solid wood reflect the approach adopted by Sonus faber from its earliest products, when craftsmanship and natural materials were already an integral part of the design. According to the brand's official history, these early creations in solid walnut and leather helped establish Sonus faber's international reputation and define the design direction of subsequent models such as the Minima, Electa and Electa Amator.

The Parva FM3 delivers a direct and controlled sound, with a well-defined mid-to-high frequency range and low-frequency response proportionate to the dimensions of the cabinet. Its 88 dB sensitivity and 8-ohm nominal impedance allow it to be paired with a variety of amplifiers, making it suitable for domestic music listening.

The Parva FM3 remains a model from the early period of Sonus faber's history, when the development of domestic loudspeakers began combining craftsmanship, natural materials and acoustic engineering within a distinctive Italian design approach.
