The KEF XQ10 is a compact bookshelf loudspeaker designed to deliver high-level acoustic performance even in environments where space is limited. Combining elegant styling with advanced engineering, it incorporates technologies derived directly from KEF’s prestigious Reference Series, providing a highly engaging listening experience with exceptional detail, accuracy, and an impressively spacious three-dimensional soundstage.
At the heart of the design is KEF’s Uni-Q® driver array, an innovative coaxial system that places the tweeter at the acoustic centre of the mid/bass driver. This configuration allows both drivers to operate as a single point source, ensuring remarkably even sound dispersion throughout the listening area and significantly improving imaging precision and tonal consistency.
The 19 mm aluminium dome tweeter, engineered to extend response up to 50 kHz, integrates seamlessly with the surrounding mid/bass cone. KEF’s distinctive Tangerine waveguide further enhances high-frequency dispersion, contributing to a more open, natural presentation while also providing effective protection for the tweeter dome.
Precise time alignment between the drivers and the high-excursion mid/bass unit result in a balanced, accurate, and highly natural sound reproduction. Vocals are rendered with exceptional clarity and realism, a characteristic that has led many enthusiasts to regard the XQ10 as a worthy successor to the legendary LS3/5a studio monitor, renowned for its outstanding vocal performance.
Finished with premium real wood veneers and housed in a cabinet engineered for both acoustic efficiency and visual refinement, the XQ10 demonstrates how a compact loudspeaker can deliver a remarkably expansive, detailed, and immersive sound experience while occupying minimal space.
