The KEF Q300 is a two-way bass-reflex loudspeaker featuring Uni-Q technology, with the tweeter and mid-woofer positioned on the same axis to create a point-source configuration and consistent sound reproduction. This configuration allows the sound to be distributed coherently throughout the listening environment and helps recreate a wide and precise stereo image.

The Uni-Q driver array integrates a 25 mm aluminum dome tweeter within the 165 mm mid-woofer, which is also made of aluminum. The tweeter also features KEF's distinctive Tangerine Waveguide, developed to improve integration between the two drivers and control high-frequency dispersion. The geometry of the mid-woofer is designed to reduce diffraction generated by the edge of the cone and provide a smoother transition between the two driver sections.

The cabinet features a rigid construction with an internal structure designed to limit cabinet resonances. The front panel incorporates the bass-reflex port with a large opening and shaped profile designed to promote airflow and reduce turbulence during low-frequency operation.

The speaker's configuration delivers deep bass and detailed reproduction while maintaining a soundstage that is large in relation to the cabinet's dimensions. The coaxial arrangement of the drivers also contributes to high temporal coherence across the frequency range.

The rear panel features dual binding posts, allowing bi-wiring or bi-amping connections. The integrated links allow the use of a single speaker cable when the loudspeaker is connected in a conventional configuration.
