The KEF LS50 are compact speakers featuring an elegant and modern design, engineered to deliver high-quality acoustic performance despite their small size. The front panel, made of rounded matte synthetic material, houses the Uni-Q driver in a copper finish, with a metal diaphragm for both the 13 cm mid-woofer and the central tweeter. The wooden cabinet is sturdy and reinforced, with a piano-black gloss finish and the KEF logo on the top panel. On the rear, a reflex port allows bass tuning, alongside standard connection terminals.

The LS50 employ the innovative Uni-Q system, which aligns the tweeter and mid/woofer on the same axis, providing even sound dispersion and spatial coherence across frequencies. The 13 cm metal mid-woofer handles low frequencies with precision, while the central tweeter ensures clear and detailed high-frequency extension. The reflex ports allow bass response to be adjusted depending on the distance from the rear wall, improving low-frequency linearity and overall speaker performance.

Acoustic specifications include a frequency response of 79 Hz ±3 dB (47 Hz at –6 dB), a sensitivity of 85 dB, and a maximum power handling of 100 W. The cabinet construction enhances rigidity and reduces unwanted resonances, with well-reinforced interiors and a weight of approximately 7 kg per speaker.

The LS50 provide accurate detail and dynamic reproduction, with instruments and voices precisely positioned within the soundstage.
