The Mini Theatre M1 is born from a completely renewed project and carries the technical heritage of Bowers & Wilkins’ highest-end loudspeakers, translating that expertise into a compact speaker that impresses with its sonic maturity and refined aesthetics. Its design draws from the long tradition of the 800 Series — an absolute reference in top recording studios worldwide — and transforms that knowledge into a far more discreet format without sacrificing quality. Presented with a refined design and matte black or matte white finishes, it preserves the elegance that has always distinguished it while integrating a thorough revision of its technical components, maintaining only the essential silhouette.

The 10 cm mid-woofer, directly derived from the renowned Hi-End PM-1, uses a long-throw woven glass-fibre diaphragm designed to move with precision and without distortion even at high power levels, comfortably handling up to 100 watts with remarkable naturalness. The tweeter, inspired by the CM Series, is also completely new: a 25 mm aluminium dome works with a long rear damping tube that effectively controls unwanted resonances, ensuring clean and precise high-frequency reproduction. The redesigned crossover uses higher-grade components than typically found in this category, operating at 4 kHz with a 6 dB/octave slope for a smooth and coherent transition between drivers.

Its appearance remains familiar yet more contemporary and refined. The chrome stand adopts a more squared shape, the perforated steel grille now wraps the entire speaker, and the new matte finish replaces the previous glossy options, giving it a more understated yet sophisticated presence. The adjustable joint between base and speaker — long appreciated — makes the M1 extremely versatile: it can rotate to become a centre channel or be positioned as a front or rear speaker, adapting easily to any home audio setup. It performs equally well on a shelf or mounted on a wall thanks to the integrated bracket, while the optional dedicated stand places it at the ideal listening height and enhances its overall look.
