WIIM SOUND

The WiiM Sound is a smart wireless active speaker designed to integrate into the WiiM ecosystem, combining amplification, network streaming and sound management functions in a single unit. It supports high-resolution playback up to 24-bit/192 kHz and can be used as a standalone speaker, integrated into a multiroom system, or paired with a second WiiM Sound to create a stereo configuration.

The acoustic system uses a 10 cm front-firing mid/woofer and two side-firing 1" tweeters, with a layout designed to widen dispersion and create a stereo effect even when using a single speaker. Total power reaches 100 W, while frequency response extends from 35 to 20,000 Hz. Playback can be adapted to the listening environment through the AI RoomFit acoustic correction function, which performs measurements via smartphone and applies customized frequency response compensation.

Sound customization includes 24 preset EQ profiles, as well as a 10-band graphic and parametric equalizer for more precise adjustments. Settings can be managed through the WiiM Home app, which is also used to control playback, manage multiroom groups and configure the system's various sources and functions.

A 1.8" color touchscreen is integrated into the front panel, displaying playback information, album artwork, presets and other content. The display also allows direct control of volume, source selection and settings without necessarily using a smartphone. Additional touch controls are located on the top of the speaker.

Connectivity includes Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3 and 100 Mbps Ethernet, as well as a 3.5 mm analog input for connecting external sources. The Line-In input can also be used to redistribute the analog signal to other WiiM devices on the network, allowing an external source to be integrated into a multiroom system.

The WiiM Sound supports various streaming protocols and services, including Chromecast/Google Cast, Spotify Connect, TIDAL Connect, Qobuz Connect, Roon, DLNA and Alexa Cast. It does not feature built-in microphones, while Alexa voice control can be used through the included WiiM voice remote.

Two WiiM Sound speakers can be configured as a stereo pair, with dedicated left and right channels, while in a compatible home theater system they can be used as surround speakers or as a center channel in a Dolby 5.1 configuration. The speaker is also designed for wall mounting and, thanks to its compact dimensions of 146 × 146 × 193 mm and weight of 2.5 kg, can be easily installed even where space is limited.
