The Debut Carbon EVO is the evolution of one of the most acclaimed turntables in hi-fi history, a model that has helped bring vinyl back to the center of the listening experience since the late 1990s. Pro-Ject developed this turntable with the goal of delivering true audiophile sound to a new generation of music enthusiasts, combining outstanding audio performance with contemporary design and an accessible price point. After more than twenty years of continuous refinement, the Debut Carbon EVO represents the next stage of this evolution, featuring advanced technical solutions and a construction designed to stand the test of time.

Handcrafted in Europe, the turntable focuses on essential and carefully engineered components, concentrating exclusively on the elements that truly influence sound quality. The high-mass MDF plinth provides excellent stability and vibration control, while the hand-painted finishes enhance the elegant and minimalist aesthetics that define the Debut series. Alongside the classic high-gloss black, white, and red versions, refined satin finishes and a genuine walnut wood veneer option are available, allowing the turntable to blend effortlessly into any environment.

One of the most innovative features of the Debut Carbon EVO is the new metal platter with an internal TPE ring, a thermoplastic elastomer specifically designed to effectively eliminate unwanted resonances. This solution also increases the platter’s total weight to 1.7 kg, improving rotational stability and creating a flywheel effect that contributes to quieter operation and a noticeable reduction in wow and flutter.

To ensure perfect leveling on any surface, the turntable is equipped with three height-adjustable heavy-duty metal feet. This configuration improves overall stability and creates the ideal conditions for precise playback, an essential factor in achieving high-end audio performance.

The motor suspension system has also been completely redesigned. Drawing from the company’s experience with high-end turntables, Pro-Ject developed a new decoupling solution that further reduces unwanted motor vibrations, preventing them from being transferred to the cartridge and speakers. The result is cleaner, more detailed, and more natural sound reproduction.

The Debut Carbon EVO also features an extremely precise electronic speed control system, allowing users to switch easily between 33 and 45 RPM at the push of a button. Electronic regulation ensures highly accurate and stable playback speed, further improving overall sound quality.

The 8.6-inch one-piece carbon fiber tonearm is another defining element of the Debut Carbon EVO. Lightweight yet exceptionally rigid, it works in perfect synergy with the pre-installed Ortofon 2M Red cartridge to deliver a wide, precise, and immersive soundstage. The one-piece construction minimizes unwanted resonances and ensures a stable connection with the cartridge, enhancing groove tracking accuracy and musical detail retrieval.

Special attention has also been given to signal transmission quality. The turntable is supplied with the Connect it E phono cable, a semi-balanced low-capacitance cable with advanced shielding designed to preserve the purity of the delicate analog signal from the cartridge to the amplifier.
