The AT-LP8X is a semi-automatic direct-drive turntable that blends user-friendly operation and high-quality audio performance in a sleek, well-crafted design. Its low-torque DC servo motor, controlled by a speed-sensor system, ensures stable and precise platter rotation across all three selectable speeds: 33, 45, and 78 RPM. One of the standout features of this model is its automatic tonearm lift and motor stop at the end of a record side—an uncommon function among direct-drive turntables—offering a more relaxed listening experience without the need for manual intervention.

The chassis is made of high-density MDF, a material chosen for its vibration-dampening qualities. It works in synergy with a 25 mm thick, rubber-damped die-cast aluminum platter and a 2.5 mm rubber mat to minimize unwanted resonance and reveal every sonic detail. The J-shaped tonearm features adjustable vertical tracking angle (VTA) and delivers stable, accurate tracking. It is complemented by a newly designed tonearm lift mechanism that enhances handling and enables automatic return.

The pre-installed AT-VM95E cartridge with a 0.3 x 0.7 mil elliptical stylus, mounted on the newly developed lightweight AT-LT10 headshell, produces a dynamic and detailed sound. It is compatible with all VM95 Series replacement styli, allowing users to upgrade or customize their setup based on personal taste or listening needs—including dedicated styli for 78 RPM records. An included sub-counterweight expands the supported cartridge/headshell weight range from 14.0 g to 23.5 g, increasing overall compatibility.

The phono-level output ensures direct and transparent signal transmission from the cartridge, while the newly redesigned internal power supply is optimized for efficient and quiet operation. Included accessories such as a removable hinged dust cover, 45 RPM adapter, and detachable RCA cable with ground wire make the turntable easy to set up and integrate into any audio system.
