The AT-LP7X turntable is a fully manual belt-drive model that combines analog elegance with high-level performance. Its chassis is constructed from 40 mm high-density MDF and features a 20 mm acrylic platter, both designed to minimize resonance and vibrations, ensuring clean and detailed sound reproduction. The chassis geometry is precisely engineered: the positioning of the platter, spindle, and J-shaped aluminum tonearm allows accurate, distortion-free tracking, while the tonearm, inspired by classic 1960s and ’70s Audio-Technica models, incorporates a dual-axis gimbal with precision ball bearings to optimize smooth movement.

The turntable comes equipped with the AT-VM95E BK cartridge mounted on the removable AT-LT10 headshell, featuring a 0.3 × 0.7 mil elliptical stylus that delivers excellent channel separation and minimal distortion, enhancing tonal quality. The cartridge can be replaced or interchanged with others from the VM95 series, offering a wide range of options for every need. The tonearm’s vertical tracking angle (VTA) adjustment and 16 g counterweight allow for cartridge and headshell combinations up to 23.5 g, with the option of adding the 32 g counterweight to support setups up to 28.5 g.

The motor, monitored by an optical sensor, maintains consistent platter rotation at 33-1/3 or 45 RPM, while its mounting on rubber bushings reduces vibration transmission to the chassis. The external power supply isolates AC-to-DC conversion, eliminating electrical interference, and the spring-isolated adjustable feet protect the turntable from external disturbances. The combination of the high-density acrylic platter, stainless steel spindle with thermoplastic bearing, and optimized chassis geometry ensures smooth and quiet rotation, bringing out the brilliance and detail of vinyl records.

Included with the turntable are a detachable RCA cable, 45 RPM adapter, and removable dust cover. The built-in phono preamplifier, selectable between MM and MC modes, provides flexibility for different cartridges. The AT-LP7X allows experimentation with various cartridge and headshell combinations, offering precise anti-skate and VTA adjustments for faithful, customizable playback according to the listener’s preferences.
