The Matrix Audio Element S is a high-end music streamer designed to transform any traditional audio system into a high-resolution streaming setup. With its USB DAC outputs, it allows easy connection to modern audio devices or external DACs, including older models, enabling seamless playback of online and local digital content. Element S integrates perfectly with the system thanks to additional digital outputs, including USB, optical and coaxial S/PDIF, AES/EBU, and IIS-LVDS, supporting PCM audio up to 32Bit/768kHz and DSD512, with configurable options to accommodate different DACs.

The system is managed via the MA Player interface, developed by Matrix Audio, which allows users to easily control networked audio devices via smartphone or tablet, browse local or networked music libraries, and access streaming platforms such as Roon Ready, DLNA/UPnP, QPlay, AirPlay 2, Spotify Connect, TIDAL Connect, QQ Music, NetEase Cloud Music, and Audirvāna. The MA Remote app, available for iOS and Android, enables music browsing, local and streaming playback, internet radio listening, and management of device settings and firmware updates.

Element S features a 3.46-inch high-resolution touchscreen displaying a clear and intuitive interface, showing metadata such as album art, track title, and artist, providing precise control over the device status and an immediate, user-friendly experience. The USB DAC interface delivers ultra-low-noise 5V/1A power through multi-stage linear regulators and filter circuits, ensuring optimal performance and bit-perfect transmission of PCM and DSD to compatible DACs.

The electrical design includes two ultra-low phase noise femtosecond clocks from Accusilicon, dedicated to multiples of 44.1 kHz and 48 kHz respectively, coordinated by an FPGA to ensure high-quality digital audio with minimal jitter, preserving rich and natural musical detail. Element S supports both wired Gigabit Ethernet connections for maximum stability and dual-band 2.4/5 GHz Wi-Fi with an integrated antenna, simplifying installation without compromising performance.
