The Eversolo DMP-A6 is a network music streamer with an integrated DAC, designed for high-resolution digital music playback and integration into Hi-Fi systems. The device combines streamer, network player, DAC and digital preamplifier functions in a single chassis, allowing local music sources and streaming services to be managed without necessarily requiring separate components.

The digital platform uses a quad-core processor and Eversolo's proprietary Eversolo OS operating system, based on Linux, which manages music playback, the music library and network functions. The DMP-A6 supports protocols and platforms including UPnP, SMB, DLNA, Roon Ready, AirPlay 2, TIDAL Connect and Spotify Connect, allowing integration into different network configurations.

Digital-to-analogue conversion is handled by a pair of ESS ES9038Q2M DACs configured in dual-mono mode, with a dedicated converter for each channel. The power supply section and internal circuit layout are designed to keep the digital and analogue sections separated and to reduce noise generated by the processing and network circuits. The DMP-A6 also uses a high-precision clock system for digital signal management and jitter reduction.

The analogue section features balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA outputs, allowing the DMP-A6 to be connected directly to an integrated amplifier, preamplifier or power amplifier. The volume control also allows it to be used as a digital source with preamplifier functionality.

The DMP-A6 supports high-resolution file playback up to PCM 768 kHz and DSD512. The platform provides access to streaming services including TIDAL, Qobuz, Apple Music, Amazon Music HD, Spotify and Deezer, as well as playback of content stored on USB devices and NAS servers.

An M.2 NVMe slot is provided for installing an internal SSD to store a personal music library. Content can be organised through the operating system, which allows album artwork and metadata to be displayed, albums and artists to be managed, playlists to be created and tracks stored on the internal memory or network sources to be searched.

The front panel features a 6-inch IPS touchscreen that allows users to browse the music library, control playback and access the settings. The system can also be controlled via the dedicated Eversolo mobile application.

Connectivity includes XLR and RCA analogue outputs, HDMI outputs, an asynchronous USB DAC input, USB ports for external devices, optical and coaxial connections, a Gigabit Ethernet port, dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth with aptX HD support. The HDMI connections also allow the device interface to be displayed on an external screen and enable integration into audio-video systems.

The DMP-A6 can also be used in more elaborate audio systems thanks to support for Roon, AirPlay 2, UPnP and other available network protocols. Compatibility with different sources and services allows digital music playback to be centralised while maintaining access to both local and online content.

The chassis is made of CNC-machined aluminium and features a rigid structure designed to control vibrations and provide mechanical stability. The original DMP-A6 does not incorporate the specific upgrades subsequently introduced in the Master Edition and Master Edition Gen 2 versions, such as the higher-precision clock, upgraded op-amps and, in the case of the Gen 2, the dynamic RGB lighting system.

The Eversolo DMP-A6 is therefore a complete digital source combining network streaming, local media playback, D/A conversion, music library management and preamplifier functionality in a single device.
