The 40 ST represents the pinnacle of Cyrus network streamers for digital music enthusiasts. Designed with the elegant aluminum chassis of the 40 series, it allows listeners to enjoy their favorite music in high resolution up to 24-bit/192kHz at lightning-fast speeds across the home network, with no lag and zero loss in sound quality. The listening experience is primarily managed through the intuitive BluOS app, available for iOS, Android, Kindle, Mac, or PC devices, although the product also includes the new Cyrus remote. With BluOS, users have immediate access to over twenty integrated streaming services, thousands of radio stations from around the world, and their personal music library stored on a network drive, with full support for Roon, AirPlay 2, and MQA decoding.

At the heart of the 40 ST is a custom-designed DAC following Cyrus’s philosophy, based on the ESS Sabre ES9039Q2M chipset and HyperStream IV Dual DAC technology, supporting playback up to 192k/24-bit PCM and DSD256. Every component is carefully selected, and the circuit board layout is fully optimized to ensure outstanding audio performance. BluOS allows instant exploration of millions of tracks from music services, streaming of internet radio stations and podcasts worldwide, or access to collections stored on smartphones, tablets, or computers, distributing music to any compatible player in the home. With a simple tap in the BluOS Controller app, playback can be directed to any enabled player, becoming the centerpiece of the home listening experience.

The 40 ST is Roon Ready out of the box, integrating Roon’s streaming technology and connecting via Ethernet or WiFi, providing bit-perfect high-resolution playback without complex configuration. It can be used in a single room or grouped with multiple Roon Ready devices for synchronized playback throughout the home. AirPlay 2 integration allows multiple players to communicate in perfect sync, play different tracks in different rooms, and control everything from an iOS device, even letting Siri manage the music.

Like all products in the 40 series, the 40 ST can be powered via the external 40 PSU, connected through a simple 15-pin cable. Equipped with an internal microprocessor, the 40 PSU communicates directly with the host product to consistently deliver the optimal power configuration across a wide range of voltages. With digitally controlled outputs, the power supply remains extremely stable and virtually noise-free, ensuring optimal audio performance in any condition.
