CAMBRIDGE AUDIO CXN100 SE

Network streamer designed to handle the main digital music sources and serve as a central component in a Hi-Fi system. The design combines an ESS ES9028Q2M SABRE32 digital-to-analogue conversion section with broad compatibility with streaming services and digital sources, supporting signals up to 32-bit/768 kHz and DSD512.

The ESS ES9028Q2M SABRE32 DAC is used for digital signal conversion and allows high-resolution recordings to be reproduced while preserving detail, dynamics, and nuances. The CXN100 SE supports Spotify Connect, TIDAL Connect with MQA, Amazon Music, Qobuz, Deezer, and Internet Radio, as well as Apple AirPlay 2, Chromecast Built-in, and Bluetooth aptX HD. Roon Ready certification also allows the music library to be managed through the Roon interface.

Connectivity includes USB Audio, coaxial and TOSLINK optical digital inputs, and Bluetooth aptX HD. The device can reproduce high-resolution files up to 32-bit/384 kHz and DSD256 through the specified digital inputs, while the network platform supports higher formats and resolutions. Compatibility with Google Home, Apple AirPlay, and Roon also allows the CXN100 SE to be integrated into multiroom systems, synchronising multiple Cambridge Audio devices or assigning different sources to individual rooms.

The HDMI eARC connection extends the streamer's use to audiovisual systems. It allows audio from a television to be transferred to the CXN100 SE, integrating it into the Hi-Fi chain and allowing the main system to be used for television content playback.

Preamp mode, activated via the StreamMagic app, allows the CXN100 SE to be used as a digital preamplifier and connected directly to a power amplifier. The StreamMagic app also provides control over playback, source selection, playlist management, and the available settings. The front panel features a large high-resolution colour display and a tactile volume control.

The chassis combines aluminium and steel and features clean lines with a black finish. Over-the-air firmware updates keep the functions and compatibility of the streaming platform up to date, extending the CXN100 SE's ability to remain integrated into evolving digital system configurations.
