At the core of the digital conversion stage is the renowned Sabre 9018 Pro chipset, supported by a selectable analog or 32-bit digital attenuation circuit. The DAC section natively supports PCM files up to 32-bit / 384 kHz, DSD up to quad-rate, and MQA content, ensuring highly detailed, transparent, and dynamic sound reproduction. Its sonic presentation is focused on maximum fidelity to the original recording, delivering deep and articulate bass, precise imaging, and a wide, layered soundstage capable of conveying remarkable realism.

Connectivity includes asynchronous USB, TosLink, AES/EBU, and S/PDIF digital inputs, alongside professional outputs and studio-oriented features such as word clock input and output. The front panel features dual headphone outputs for convenient listening, while the integrated display and large volume control provide intuitive access to the unit’s extensive programmable functions. Through the menu system it is possible to adjust balance, phase inversion, mono mode, digital filters, MQA management, and analog or digital volume control modes. The device also supports remote operation via the included Apple remote control or dedicated software for Windows and macOS.

One of the most distinctive features is the fully analog integrated phono stage, a rare addition in a DAC with professional ambitions. This allows the Brooklyn DAC to serve as the central component of a compact yet highly capable HiFi system, able to manage both high-resolution digital sources and quality turntables without the need for additional electronics.

The power supply has also been designed with advanced engineering principles in mind. The unit employs a high-capacity switching power supply developed to minimize interference and noise, while also offering the option of using an external 12V power supply for further performance improvements.
