The DacMagic 100 is a digital-to-analogue converter designed to bring out the full potential of digital music, enhancing depth, clarity and definition from connected sources such as computers, televisions, media players, Blu-ray players or CD transports. By bypassing the often limited built-in converters of source devices, it processes the audio signal through a 24-bit Wolfson WM8742 DAC, delivering precise, dynamic and natural hi-fi sound with an impressive level of detail.
It supports a wide range of formats, including lossless files and studio masters, and is compatible with 16- and 24-bit signals with sampling rates from 44.1 up to 192 kHz, ensuring an accurate and engaging listening experience. The asynchronous USB connection up to 24-bit / 96 kHz, combined with one optical Toslink digital input and two coaxial digital inputs, allows up to four sources to be connected simultaneously, making it a true hub for digital audio, with RCA analogue outputs for easy integration into any audio system.
The design prioritises sound quality and ease of use, with no drivers or software installation required, making it immediately operational with Windows, Mac and Linux systems.
The unit is housed in a solid metal chassis with a brushed aluminium front panel, featuring power, source selection and filter controls, and is powered by a substantial external power supply to ensure stability and consistent performance.
