The Unison Unico CD Due is a Hi-End DAC with tube output and integrated CD mechanism, designed by the Italian brand Unison Research. This device combines the sonic qualities of the Unico series with the ability to play PCM and DSD digital files via USB, offering versatility and excellent compatibility with external sources such as streamers or computers. Its hybrid architecture, combining tube technology with solid-state circuits, delivers power without compromising the musicality characteristic of tubes. It features multiple digital inputs, including USB, S/PDIF coaxial, AES/EBU, Toslink optical, and Bluetooth, as well as analog and digital outputs, including S/PDIF coaxial, AES/EBU, and Toslink for connecting to external DACs.

The CD mechanism is dedicated exclusively to Audio CD playback and is protected by a robust metal cover. The electronics are designed to provide high-quality tube sound, with a totem-pole circuit that ensures extremely low distortion and high noise immunity. The ESS Sabre ES9018K2M DAC and internal FPGA eliminate jitter, providing excellent signal-to-noise ratio and minimal distortion. The Unico CD Due also offers three selectable digital filters and phase inversion capability, allowing the user to adapt the listening experience to personal preferences.
