The Marantz CD6007 represents a carefully optimized evolution of the award-winning CD6006, designed to provide an even more refined listening experience. It features carefully selected components and a redesigned internal layout to ensure cleaner signal paths and greater operational stability. Rigid feet and a double-layer bottom plate help reduce unwanted vibrations, while the oversized low-noise power supply delivers stable and silent current, supported by high-speed Schottky diodes and larger filter capacitors that enhance dynamic response during demanding listening sessions.

The player incorporates the new high-quality AK4490 Reference-class digital-to-analog converter, capable of handling signals up to 192 kHz/24-bit and DSD 5.6 MHz. This DAC, paired with two selectable digital filters, allows optimization of sound reproduction according to the content played, delivering precise audio with fast bass, natural mids, and smooth highs. The resulting analog signal is sent to gold-plated output terminals through Marantz’s proprietary HDAM-SA2 module, a discrete amplifier that provides faster response than conventional operational amplifiers and maintains extremely low noise levels. This refined technology ensures constant bias current stability even with temperature changes, enhancing performance at higher output levels.

The CD6007 offers great versatility: in addition to CD and CD-R/RW playback, it supports a wide range of formats via the front USB port, including WAV, MP3, AAC, WMA, FLAC HD, ALAC, AIFF, and DSD. Operation is made intuitive with the new remote control, which is also compatible with the PM6007 amplifier. For headphone listening, the player features a newly designed dedicated amplifier that also uses HDAM-SA2 technology and offers three gain settings to match different headphone models perfectly. When not in use, the headphone circuit can be automatically turned off to prevent interference and maintain maximum signal purity.
