The LUXMAN D-10X builds upon the acclaimed D-08u, adding new playback capabilities, the latest digital-to-analog conversion technology, a reinforced transport mechanism, and a refined analog output stage. This model introduces LUXMAN’s proprietary LxDTM-i transport mechanism and features the world premiere of ROHM Semiconductor’s MUS-IC™ BD34301EKV DAC.

The D-10X also debuts ODNF-u – Only Distortion Negative Feedback (ultimate) – a fully balanced output amplifier designed to minimize distortion and enhance error detection accuracy. This results in greater sound expressiveness, with improved microdynamics across the audio spectrum, especially in the high frequencies. Thanks to a custom-designed 1st-order, 3-band filter circuit, it produces a natural and fluid waveform without relying on traditional output filters.

To minimize distortion from vibrations and resonance, the disc drive has been upgraded and enclosed within a robust LxDTM-i mechanism made from 8mm-thick aluminum side panels that extend to the front and rear panels, and a 5mm-thick steel top plate. The physical mounting system forms an integrated structure that supports the side chassis and works in tandem with the enhanced disc reading mechanism for superior playback performance.

The D-10X supports MQA (Master Quality Authenticated), an award-winning British technology that reproduces the sound of the original master recording. It plays MQA-CDs and MQA audio files up to 24-bit via USB, optical, and coaxial inputs.

On the power supply side, the D-10X offers exceptional stability thanks to a 27% increase in transformer capacity over the previous model, as well as independent regulators for each circuit, with large-capacity capacitor filters to ensure maximum power stability.

LUXMAN’s attention to detail is evident even in the circuitry, which uses 100μm thick copper foil, gold-plated connections, and no solder mask on signal traces. Internal wiring is gently curved to promote smoother signal flow.

The RCA outputs are gold-plated and made from a copper/brass alloy that combines conductivity and durability, while the balanced outputs use high-quality Neutrik XLR terminals. Cast-iron isolating feet with a density gradient provide solid support and dissipate shelf-borne resonances.

For full connectivity, the D-10X features one coaxial input, two optical inputs, and a USB input that supports both DSD and PCM. USB transfer is enhanced with four Bulk Pet® modes to optimize processor load and improve transparency.

The fluorescent display is easily readable from the listening position thanks to a 4X zoom function, and a three-color indicator shows MQA decoding status: Studio (blue), Authentic (green), and Renderer (magenta).

The aluminum remote control, with the same white sandblasted finish as the player’s front panel, allows for convenient operation from your listening position. Additionally, the LUXMAN Audio Player software, compatible with Windows and macOS, supports playback of FLAC, ALAC, WAV, AIFF, MP3, DSF, and DSDIFF files and can be downloaded from LUXMAN’s official website.
