CD player designed for optical disc playback, incorporating Denon's proprietary AL32 Processing technology, developed to reconstruct the waveform of the digital signal. The interpolation algorithms use the available data to reconstruct information lost during digital recording, with the aim of achieving detailed reproduction consistent with the original content.

The processing section is complemented by a circuit design that keeps signal paths as short as possible. Multilayer circuit boards help reduce interference between the various circuits and between the left and right channels, while also limiting their influence on the audio signal and maintaining clean and transparent reproduction.

The chassis construction follows the Direct Mechanical Ground Construction principle, designed to control vibrations generated by the internal components. The transformers are positioned close to the isolators and feet to reduce the transmission of vibrations to the chassis. A metal bracket also connects the CD mechanism to the chassis and high-density feet, helping to further limit unwanted resonances.

The DCD-600NE features an optical digital output that allows the player to be connected to the digital input of an amplifier or AV receiver. Pure Direct mode is also available for listening, disabling the digital output and display during playback to reduce potential interference generated by these sections.
