KUZMA 4 POINT

The 4POINT tonearm, introduced in 2008, represents a significant evolution in turntable tonearm design, standing out for its innovative and unique features. At the heart of the design is the exclusive four-point bearing, which combines two points similar to a uni-pivot to control the vertical movements of the arm with two pointed bearings that manage the horizontal movements. All four bearings operate with minimal friction and zero play, ensuring that the cartridge platform faithfully follows the grooves of the vinyl with minimal vibration and exceptional precision.

The arm has an effective length of 280 mm and fits the standard mount with a pivot-to-pivot distance of 212 mm. The main section is solidly connected to a rigid and inert VTA tower, allowing fine adjustments of the vertical tracking angle both when the arm is stationary and during playback, without any loss of rigidity and with a precision of 0.01 mm. The main tube is machined from a single block of aluminum, with two separate channels that independently damp vertical and horizontal resonances, offering a high degree of adjustability. The damping troughs can be easily removed if needed.

The arm’s balance is ensured by two counterweights: the main counterweight provides precise overall balance once the cartridge is mounted, while the smaller secondary weight allows extremely fine adjustment of the tracking force. The azimuth is adjustable via a worm-drive mechanism, enabling very precise and repeatable interventions.

The 4POINT features a removable headshell, which can be detached from the arm tube without interrupting the internal wiring, maintaining the same rigidity as if the headshell were permanently fixed. The internal wiring is made of high-quality silver alloy wire in a single continuous set of four conductors from the cartridge to the RCA connectors, with a total length of 1.4 meters. Advanced wiring options are also available, such as Biwiring, which uses two separate sets of cables, allowing an alternative cable to be connected between the arm termination box and the phono input of the preamplifier.
