The Accuphase DF‑45 digital crossover is a multi-channel divider designed for multi-amplifier systems, utilizing a high-speed 40-bit floating-point DSP to provide fully digital signal processing. The standard configuration supports four channels, allowing use in four-way systems with precise and flexible control over each audio path.
The unit offers 59 selectable cutoff frequency points, ensuring complete adaptability to the characteristics of the speakers and the requirements of the system. Highly accurate digital filters provide slopes of up to 96 dB per octave, ensuring clear separation between frequency bands and detailed, transparent sound reproduction.
The time alignment function allows adjustment of channel delays in 1 cm increments, while a delay compensator corrects any differences introduced by the filter circuits, ensuring exceptional spatial coherence and imaging accuracy.
The DF‑45 also features a further refined MDS++ D/A converter and supports digital inputs in combination with the DC‑330 player, offering compatibility with high-resolution formats such as SA‑CD via the HS-Link connection. Every detail of the design is intended to ensure fully digital signal management, allowing enthusiasts to achieve maximum fidelity and control in multi-channel audio reproduction.
