The DirectStream Power Plant 15 represents the new generation of AC power regeneration according to PS Audio, embodying a benchmark in performance, safety, and reliability. This device takes household electricity—often affected by distortion, electrical noise, and instability—and completely transforms it, delivering a newly rebuilt waveform that is perfectly sinusoidal, stable, and high-current. Thanks to a topology similar to that of a powerful analog amplifier, the P15 regenerates the current using active components and sophisticated FPGA-based waveform generation, resulting in distortion-free, regulated power with extremely low output impedance.

The quality of the power supplied by the P15 directly impacts the sonic performance of the system: background noise is significantly reduced, the soundstage expands in width and depth, instrument separation becomes sharper, and both micro and macro dynamics are expressed with striking naturalness and precision. Even subtle musical details, previously hidden, emerge clearly, while voices and harmonics gain new life. With its ability to deliver up to 1500 watts of regenerated power, the P15 effortlessly powers everything from delicate source components to medium-to-large power amplifiers, never suffering from voltage drops or power shortages during dynamic peaks.

Internally, the P15 features five independent output zones, each receiving regenerated power through massive 6 mm thick copper busbars. The output impedance—below 0.008 Ohm—ensures that even the most demanding amplifiers are always fed with all the power they need, without compression or limitations. Unlike passive conditioners, which often degrade dynamic performance, the P15 offers an active solution that continuously regulates voltage and protects the entire system from any power grid anomalies such as overvoltages, undervoltages, sudden spikes, or ongoing interference. Advanced protection circuits at the input block dangerous variations, while the regulated output maintains a stable voltage even under extreme conditions.

The included MultiWave function extends the peak charging time of the sine wave, improving energy storage in the connected power supplies and reducing ripple, with a direct effect on a more expansive and coherent soundstage. The P15 also features the CleanWave function, designed to demagnetize the transformers in hi-fi components and further enhance sonic performance. All operating data is easily accessible through a large 7-inch color touchscreen, which allows real-time monitoring of input and output harmonic distortion, power consumption, improvement levels, and power quality. The display also offers access to configuration settings such as power-on/off sequencing, voltage adjustment, and individual zone control. Advanced diagnostic tools, including a built-in oscilloscope and THD analyzer, allow for precise analysis of power quality.
