FURUTECH FI-46 NCF (G)

The Furutech FI-46 NCF (G) connector represents a high-end solution in the field of connectors, integrating Furutech’s proprietary NCF technology and, like all Furutech products, benefiting from a meticulously designed structure and carefully selected materials for maximum performance. The connector contacts are made of pure copper plated with gold and treated with the Alpha process, which includes an initial cryogenization phase followed by demagnetization, significantly enhancing the conductivity of the contacts.

The connector body combines Nylon and fiberglass with NCF (Nano Crystal² Formula) material, designed to reduce resonances. This crystalline material has two “active” properties: it generates negative ions that eliminate static electricity and converts thermal energy into infrared radiation. Furutech also incorporates ceramic nanoparticles and carbon powder, leveraging their piezoelectric properties for effective vibration damping. The outer shell is made of anodized and brushed aluminum, providing durability and strength while limiting the impact of interference on the signal. The connector is completed with an efficient cable clamping system using a robust metal clamp.

The FI-46 NCF connector also incorporates the Floating Field Damper system, designed to counteract the effects of magnetic and electrostatic fields generated by current flow. Small metallic components of the connector, such as the mounting screws, can induce parasitic currents and create “floating” magnetic fields that interfere with the main field of the cable, generating distortion and noise. The Floating Field Damper system grounds all metallic parts, channeling the generated electrical potentials to ground, drastically reducing noise and ensuring an extremely clean and stable energy transfer.
