The Accuphase DG-68 represents the fifth generation of the prestigious Digital Voicing Equalizer series, a product line that has redefined the very concept of audio equalization since its groundbreaking debut in 1997 with the revolutionary DG-28. This state-of-the-art unit combines advanced digital electronics with a design philosophy focused on musical excellence, offering users total control over the sound and the interaction between system and environment.

The DG-68 integrates three main functions, each of which can also be used independently: sound field compensation to optimize the acoustics of the listening space; an advanced graphic equalizer that allows precise calibration of each frequency band; and a real-time spectrum analyzer that provides immediate and visually clear monitoring of frequency distribution. This multifaceted approach not only corrects the response but allows for full customization according to the most refined preferences.

Equipped with a high-definition IPS color LCD display, the DG-68 allows users to draw any desired response curve directly on the screen using the included stylus pen. The user interface is designed to be intuitive and easy to read, making every operation simple and immediate, even for non-experts. Screens and settings can be saved to a USB memory stick, allowing quick recall at any time.

At the technological heart of the DG-68 lies a 40-bit floating-point DSP processor by Analog Devices, capable of handling digital signals with absolute precision. A/D conversion is managed by a 32-bit / 352.8 kHz Asahi Kasei converter in a quad-parallel configuration for each channel, while the D/A section uses the 32-bit / 384 kHz ESS ES9028PRO in an MDS+ configuration with eight parallel circuits per channel, ensuring extreme accuracy in signal conversion. Both conversions are enhanced by the proprietary ANCC (Accuphase Noise and distortion Cancelling Circuit), which minimizes noise and distortion.

The Smooth Voicing function is another key feature, intelligently preventing excessive corrections by evaluating the actual low-frequency capabilities of the speakers and automatically balancing differences between channels. The result is a more linear and natural in-room frequency response, free of artifacts or forced compensation.

The DG-68 integrates easily into any audio system, whether in the digital domain between source and DAC or in analog between preamplifier and power amplifier, including standard configurations such as the REC/PLAY loop of integrated amplifiers. Both analog and digital inputs and outputs are provided as standard, while output level, channel balance, and input gain can be adjusted either manually or automatically. A switchable subsonic filter is also included.

Designed for those seeking the highest level of sound quality and personalization, the Accuphase DG-68 is more than a mere equalizer—it is a true acoustic refinement tool, capable of enhancing every musical detail and revealing sonic possibilities previously out of reach.
