REGA RB78

Moving-magnet (MM) cartridge with a fixed stylus, designed for monophonic playback of 33 and 78 rpm records. Its configuration is specifically developed to track the grooves of mono vinyl records, providing a dedicated solution for listening to these recordings.

Like the other MM cartridges in the Rega range, it is hand-assembled by Rega technicians, following manufacturing and inspection procedures aimed at achieving accurate groove tracking and faithfully reproducing the musical content of the record. The generator uses a pair of coils wound in parallel, carefully assembled to form the signal-generating system.

Each cartridge undergoes two days of testing and inspection, during which its operating parameters are checked before packaging or possible installation on Rega turntables.
