Within the MC X Series, Ortofon sets a new benchmark in Moving Coil cartridge design, elevating premium analog technology to even higher levels of performance. The coils, wound with high-purity silver wire, ensure an exceptionally clean signal path, preserving every sonic nuance and providing extremely precise and natural sound. The newly developed magnet system, featuring a one-piece pole cylinder integrated into the rear magnet yoke, is engineered to maximize magnetic efficiency and, combined with the silver coils, delivers a powerful, stable, and interference-free output. Internally developed rubber dampers play a key role in controlling coil movement, reducing unwanted vibrations, and improving overall stability, resulting in superior tracking, lower distortion, and musical accuracy.

The supporting structure in stainless steel with honeycomb geometry, manufactured using MIM technology, provides high mechanical rigidity and forms an ideal foundation for precise and consistent sound reproduction, while the PVD surface treatment applied after sintering helps preserve the material’s appearance and integrity over time.
