At its core is a nude Shibata stylus, considered one of the most refined and high-performing profiles, mounted on a sapphire cantilever that provides both rigidity and lightness. The carefully polished and slim geometry of the Shibata stylus ensures a wide contact area with the groove walls, delivering pure and detailed reproduction, including the finest high-frequency information. The cartridge body is made of PC-ABS, a lightweight and impact-resistant thermoplastic that protects against scratches and wear while providing a stable and durable structure. The use of neodymium magnets ensures optimal output, while the low internal impedance reduces load sensitivity, making the Quintet Black S easily compatible with a wide range of phono preamps and step-up transformers.
