The Ortofon Cadenza Bronze takes its name from the Italian term “cadenza,” which in classical music refers to the moment when the orchestra pauses, allowing the soloist to perform freely, unbound by rhythmic constraints. It is a passage of great virtuosity, where the artist can showcase their full technique and expressiveness. This spirit is perfectly reflected in the philosophy behind this MC cartridge, designed to reproduce every musical nuance with a blend of detail, balance, and refinement.

The Cadenza Bronze represents one of the most sophisticated expressions of the Cadenza series—a family of cartridges created to push even further the standards set by legendary models such as the Kontrapunkt and MC Jubilee. Ortofon doesn’t merely refine existing technologies, it evolves them, constantly seeking new solutions for even higher performance.

At the heart of the Cadenza Bronze is a Replicant 100 stylus, one of the most advanced in terms of shape and tracking ability, mounted on a conical aluminium cantilever. The internal coil uses the renowned Ortofon Aucurum wire—gold-plated 6NX copper—which ensures exceptionally pure and accurate signal transmission. Supporting its high fidelity is the Field Stabilizing Element (FSE), a technology designed to maintain linearity even during the most dynamic and complex musical passages, such as orchestral crescendos.

The result is a cartridge that does more than extract information from the groove—it presents it vividly and three-dimensionally, with a stereo image that extends in depth and width, illuminating every detail of the soundstage. Its tonal balance is particularly noteworthy: every register, from low frequencies to high peaks, is handled with coherence and respect, never colored or exaggerated.
