HANA-Umami Red is a high-end moving coil cartridge that combines premium materials, Japanese craftsmanship, and modern audio technology. Ebony wood, rare-earth magnets, precision-cut diamond, high-purity copper wires, Urushi lacquer finishes, and CNC-machined duralumin components harmoniously come together under the vision of HANA designer Okada-san.

The perfect synergy between the magnet, armature, and coil windings, the core of every outstanding MC design, ensures precise, engaging, and emotionally compelling musical reproduction. Every component works in concert, much like a Michelin-starred dish, creating a unique and memorable listening experience.

All major parts of the HANA-Umami Red are manufactured in-house by Excel Sound, a company with over fifty years of experience in high-fidelity audio. Skilled artisans hand-assemble each cartridge, delivering an intensely musical performance and enhancing the characteristic “Brilliant and Gorgeous” sound quality of the HANA series.
