AUDIO TECHNICA AT-VM750XSH/H

The AT-VM750xSH/H kit includes the AT-VM750xSH moving magnet (MM) cartridge, pre-mounted on the AT-LT10 universal 1/2" headshell. Part of Audio-Technica's updated AT-VMx series, it incorporates refined construction techniques and carefully selected materials to improve groove-tracking accuracy and its ability to follow the dynamic variations of a recording.

The cartridge features a Nude Shibata stylus with an extended contact surface against the record groove. This geometry allows it to retrieve information at very high frequencies while minimizing record wear and distortion. Compared with the previous model, the stylus tip has a reduced mass, contributing to more precise groove tracking. The solid boron cantilever, which combines low weight with high rigidity, rapidly transmits vibrations from the stylus, ensuring accurate reproduction, particularly during passages with significant dynamic variations.

The generator employs a paratoroidal coil configuration, featuring two PCUHD (Pure Copper Ultra High Drawability) copper coils per channel, arranged one behind the other. This design improves electromagnetic efficiency, channel separation and channel balance, while the reduced number of coil turns enhances transient response. A central shield plate between the left and right channels also helps reduce crosstalk. The die-cast aluminium body minimizes unwanted vibrations and resonance.

The cartridge features threaded inserts that simplify installation, particularly on tonearms with integrated mounting arrangements. The hinged stylus guard incorporates a V-shaped opening that makes it easier to identify the stylus position when lowering it onto a record. The system is compatible with universal 1/2" headshells and most replacement styli from the AT-VMx and VM series, allowing users to adapt the configuration to their listening preferences.

The AT-LT10 headshell features a die-cast aluminium construction designed to minimize weight and vibration. Its universal 1/2" mount is compatible with four-pin cartridges, including those equipped with threaded inserts. Elongated mounting slots allow precise cartridge positioning and overhang adjustment, while the internal connections use OFC (oxygen-free copper) lead wires. The non-slip finger lift facilitates accurate stylus placement on the record. The kit also includes the screws required for installation.
