A next-generation moving-coil (MC) cartridge designed to significantly outperform the Puritas model and deliver a listening experience that meets the expectations of vinyl enthusiasts. Its innovative design and carefully selected materials make the Rose capable of reproducing music with exceptional precision, detail and musicality.
The Rose's operating principle draws inspiration from the cutting head of a record-cutting lathe, emulating the way the cutter head engraves the grooves into a vinyl record. This principle is adapted to record playback, using a diamond stylus to trace the groove surfaces rather than cut into the vinyl. This approach enables greater fidelity in reproducing every musical nuance.
The cartridge uses two separate hollow polycarbonate coils, unlike conventional square- or cross-shaped iron coils. Since iron is approximately nine times heavier than polycarbonate, a conventional coil responds to the record grooves less quickly than the lightweight coils used in the Rose, allowing faster and more accurate tracking.
The Rose features an aluminium cantilever with an optimised pivot. Unlike traditional MC cartridges, its coils are positioned closer to the stylus, reducing moving mass and increasing the coils' ability to vibrate. The result is more detailed and dynamic audio reproduction, with greater transparency and harmonic richness.
Other distinctive features include a new rubber damper developed by Allnic Audio, dual CCA (Copper Clad Aluminium) coils and a Fritz Gyger 2 stylus, all designed to enhance precision, speed and musicality during vinyl playback. The Rose combines advanced technology with carefully engineered design to reveal every sonic nuance of analogue records.
