The Van Den Hul The Mainsserver Hybrid is a power cable designed for high-end audio, audiovisual and professional equipment with relatively low power consumption, such as digital sources, DACs, CD players, preamplifiers and processors. Its structure incorporates a system for suppressing high-frequency mains noise, designed to address both differential-mode and common-mode interference without using filter components in series with the AC current path. This approach avoids introducing significant series impedance and allows current peaks to be handled without the limitations associated with some conventional mains filters.

The conductors are made from high-purity OFC copper, stranded and silver-plated, with a layer of Saturated Linear Structured Carbon®. The phase and neutral conductors each have an effective cross-sectional area of 0.754 mm², with a specified combined resistance of 2.3 Ω per 100 metres. The cable supports a continuous current of up to 6 A, equivalent to approximately 1.4 kW at a mains voltage of 230 V.

The cable also features high-density shielding, designed to limit the radiation of mains noise towards nearby cables and equipment and to prevent external electromagnetic and radio-frequency interference from entering the AC line. The yellow-green earth conductor has low impedance over a wide frequency range, helping to drain noise present on the equipment's earth line. The outer jacket is made from halogen-free Hulliflex 4, in a gold finish, with an approximate external diameter of 8 mm. The cable is fitted with a Schuko plug and an IEC connector and is intended for powering components that require particular attention to electrical noise management.
