Kimber Kable PowerKord Model 10 power cable with Schuko plug and IEC connector. Length: 1.2 m.

Power cable designed for components with high current demands, such as amplifiers and televisions. The construction uses three specially optimized copper conductors with a cross-sectional area of 5.26 mm² each, corresponding to 10 AWG, a size intended to provide high current-carrying capacity.

The conductors are insulated with neutral-colored virgin dielectric materials free from chrominance, selected to preserve the properties of the copper and maintain consistent electrical characteristics throughout the cable. The overall external diameter is 15 mm.

The PK10 Silver version uses Wattgate Audio Grade Evolution Series connectors with pure silver plating. The connectors feature a three-layer high-performance plating process designed to provide a stable and reliable connection between the cable and the component.

The design is part of Kimber Kable's PowerKord™ range, developed through research into the interaction between the power cable and the connected component. The company uses its OSCaR™ (Objective Correlation and Results) design process to evaluate the significance of a power cable's contribution to overall system performance.

The PK10 Silver is therefore intended for use with equipment requiring stable power delivery and substantial current availability, combining large-gauge conductors, selected dielectric materials and Wattgate Audio Grade connectors.
