Furutech FP-Alpha 3

The Furutech FP-Alpha3 is a power cable designed for connections to audio equipment and Hi-Fi systems, featuring a three-conductor configuration and α (Alpha)-OCC copper. The design is intended for the construction of high-performance power cables and is also suitable for custom and DIY cable assemblies.

Each conductor consists of 49 strands measuring 0.32 mm in diameter, providing a total cross-sectional area of approximately 3.94 mm², corresponding approximately to 11 AWG. The use of α-OCC copper is one of the defining elements of the cable construction and provides a low conductor resistance, specified at a maximum of 0.0052 Ω/m.

The individual conductors are insulated with polyethylene (PE) and use a specific color coding to facilitate identification during installation: red for live, yellow for neutral, and natural for earth.

The three conductors are twisted together in a three-core configuration, while a flexible green PVC outer sheath completes the construction and protects the cable during use and installation.

The overall diameter of the Furutech FP-Alpha3 is approximately 15 mm.

Furutech FI-11 (Cu)

The Furutech FI-11 (Cu) is an IEC connector for power cables designed for audio applications and high-performance connections. The model uses unplated copper-alloy contacts and conductive parts, with a configuration designed to provide a direct electrical path between the cable and the equipment.

The unplated α (Alpha) phosphor bronze conductor forms the main element of the electrical section. The connector also incorporates a dedicated Earth (Ground) Jumper System designed to ensure continuity of the protective earth connection.

The front body is made of nylon reinforced with fiberglass, while the outer shell is constructed from polycarbonate. This combination of materials contributes to the mechanical rigidity of the assembly and protects the internal components.

The Furutech FI-11 (Cu) is rated at 15 A / 125 V or 10 A / 250 V and is designed for use as an IEC connector in power cables intended for audio systems and other compatible equipment.

Furutech FI-E11 (Cu)

The Furutech FI-E11 (Cu) is a Schuko connector designed for the construction of power cables for audio equipment and other compatible devices. The model features a two-pole plus earth configuration and is intended for use with cables assembled according to specific power connection requirements.

The conductive section uses an α (Alpha) eutectic copper alloy with unplated contacts. This configuration leaves the conductive surfaces free from additional metallic coatings and represents one of the defining elements of the connector's construction.

The front body is made of nylon reinforced with fiberglass, while the outer shell is constructed from polycarbonate. The combination of these materials provides a rigid and durable structure suitable for use in assembled power cables.

The Furutech FI-E11 (Cu) conforms to the CEE7-VII standard and is KEMA-KEUR certified according to the Dutch KEMA standard. The connector is rated at 16 A / 250 V AC.
