DYNAVECTOR CL-1

Headshell lead wire set designed to connect the phono cartridge to the headshell terminals, with the aim of maintaining signal transmission consistent with the characteristics of the cartridge and analog system.

The conductors are made of high-purity copper and feature a construction consisting of numerous individual strands, each less than 50 μm in diameter. The use of copper conductors only, without different metals such as silver, provides consistent electrical characteristics and high flexibility, facilitating the positioning of the lead wires inside the headshell.

The fine-strand construction combines the flexibility required during installation with signal transmission suitable for use with phono cartridges. The conductor used in the CL-1 is derived from the same type of copper used by Dynavector for the CP-1 phono cable.

The terminal connectors feature rhodium-plated contacts, selected to provide a stable connection both with the cartridge terminals and those of the headshell. Rhodium plating provides a thinner and harder layer compared with plating materials such as gold, helping to maintain electrical contact without significantly altering the characteristics of the connection.

The terminals feature ends with different inner diameters: 1.2 mm on the color-coded side and 1.0 mm on the opposite side. This configuration allows the CL-1 to be used with Dynavector MC cartridges as well as with most cartridges and headshells available on the market.

If variations in terminal specifications result in an excessively tight fit during installation, the manufacturer recommends gently adjusting the terminal using a suitable pin tool or awl before installation.
