The Furutech GT2 NCF is a reference USB digital cable designed to deliver exceptionally precise, interference-free signal transmission. At the heart of the cable is the NCF connector sleeve, made with a hybrid multi-material construction that leverages the properties of the crystalline NCF material. Combined with ceramic nanoparticles and carbon powder, this material eliminates static electricity by generating negative ions and converts thermal energy into low-frequency far-infrared radiation, while its piezoelectric properties provide effective vibration damping.

The GT2 NCF conductors are made of silver-plated OCC (Ohno Continuous Cast) copper and undergo Furutech’s Alpha cryogenic and demagnetization treatment to optimize conductivity and stabilize the molecular structure. The conductors are of differentiated gauges, with 26 AWG for signal and 24 AWG for power, while a drain wire, also treated with the Alpha process, completes the internal shielding.

The cable features a high-density polyethylene dielectric for the signal conductors and SR-PVC for the power conductors, combined with triple shielding composed of an internal aluminized mylar foil with 100% coverage, a second aluminum/mylar foil with 25% overlap, and a braided copper shield treated with the Alpha process. The ultra-flexible Audio-Grade PVC outer sheath reduces resonance, while the nylon fabric jacket provides durability and flexibility.

The USB Type A and Type B connectors are built with non-magnetic multi-material housings and 24k gold-plated copper alloy shielding with integrated NCF material, minimizing electromagnetic interference and ensuring stable, long-lasting connections.
