The Sonneteer Sedley is a phono stage designed to enhance analog playback, positioned between the turntable and the Hi-Fi system with the aim of extracting all the musical richness contained in vinyl records. Developed to deliver superior performance compared to integrated phono stages found in amplifiers, it houses a highly refined dedicated circuit within a separate chassis, engineered to provide accurate, transparent, and faithful reproduction.

Its function is to apply the RIAA equalization curve with extreme precision, restoring the original characteristics of the signal engraved on the record. During vinyl production, low frequencies are attenuated and high frequencies are boosted to optimize the cutting process; the phono stage reverses this equalization during playback, restoring a natural tonal balance and a correct frequency response.

The Sedley project stands out for its high-quality circuitry and an approach focused exclusively on maximum sonic fidelity. The use of a dedicated external unit helps reduce interference and preserve the integrity of the delicate signal coming from the turntable cartridge, improving dynamics, detail retrieval, and background silence compared to integrated solutions.

From a sonic perspective, the Sonneteer Sedley delivers a balanced reproduction, rich in nuances and characterized by excellent transparency. The low frequencies are deep and well controlled, the midrange reproduces voices and acoustic instruments with naturalness and presence, while the high frequencies stand out for their openness, precision, and absence of harshness.
