The Allnic H-1202 is the company’s new entry-level phono preamplifier, succeeding the renowned H-1201 model. While remaining an accessible option for introducing the Allnic sound into a home system, the H-1202 captures much of the magic of the flagship H-1500 II and H-7000 models, offering a dynamic, open, and natural sound with a wide sense of space and dimensionality. Its design features high-quality NOS E180CC twin triode tubes, CR-type RIAA equalization precisely compensated within ±0.3 dB, and a fully tube-based automatic voltage regulation circuit that ensures exceptionally stable and quiet operation. High-quality MC transformers with Permalloy cores provide variable gain (+22 dB, +26 dB, +28 dB, +32 dB), while the no negative feedback architecture and pure Class A operation deliver transparency, dynamic range, and top-level musicality.

The H-1202’s construction reflects Allnic’s meticulous craftsmanship: replacing the previous model’s semiconductor power supply with an all-tube solution reduces noise and increases stability, while its sturdy, no-nonsense chassis gives it a commanding presence in any setup. The tubes, pre-installed in glass “chimneys,” are isolated using Allnic’s patented Absorb GEL technology to prevent unwanted vibrations and microphonics, ensuring a clean and precise sound from the moment it is powered on. Setup is quick and intuitive, with single-ended connections for MM and MC, two inputs each with screw-type grounding posts, and a single output. Input selection is made via a central knob on the front panel, accompanied by soft-start power and mute buttons.

The MC transformers, located on the rear of the unit, allow selection of four gain levels and their corresponding load resistances, offering a total gain of up to 72 dB for MC cartridges. MM gain is fixed at 38 dB with a 47 kΩ load. This flexibility accommodates both high- and low-output cartridges, providing deeply engaging and musical listening experiences. The H-1202 delivers recordings with authority, richness, and musicality, on backgrounds as quiet and deep as a clear night sky, while giving voices and instruments remarkable dimensionality.
