ACCUPHASE AD-60

The AD-60 board is designed to breathe new life into analog playback, transforming any Accuphase preamplifier or integrated amplifier equipped with an expansion slot into a refined, high-performance phono stage. Engineered to deliver the utmost fidelity with both moving magnet (MM) and moving coil (MC) cartridges, it employs a dedicated differential architecture for each type: four parallel-driven bipolar transistors for MC, and a pair of parallel JFETs for MM, ensuring linearity, ultra-low noise, and a natural, detailed musical presentation. Gain is optimized for both configurations, offering 66 dB for MC and 40 dB for MM, while input sensitivity reaches as low as 0.126 mV for moving coils and 2.5 mV for moving magnets. Load impedance, selectable between 30, 100, 200, and 300 Ohms for MC and fixed at 47 kΩ for MM, allows perfect synergy with virtually any cartridge. A subsonic filter at 25 Hz with a slope of -12 dB per octave eliminates unwanted vibrations and low-frequency instabilities, preserving the purity of the musical signal.

All key adjustments are carried out via convenient internal DIP switches, with the added advantage—on newer models such as the C-2300—of directly managing the main functions from the front panel, including MM/MC selection, input load impedance, and subsonic filter activation. On earlier models, the same operations remain accessible directly from the board, ensuring precise and customizable setup in all cases. Compatibility extends across a wide range of Accuphase electronics, from reference preamplifiers to integrated amplifiers of various generations, making the AD-60 a versatile and future-proof accessory, ready to integrate seamlessly with forthcoming models.
