The NAD 2155 embodies the essence of pure power amplification, derived directly from the 3155 and 7155 models but housed in a separate chassis to offer maximum flexibility and a practical, affordable solution for upgrading a stereo system with superior performance. It is designed to integrate seamlessly into existing setups, making it an ideal choice for those moving up from a low-powered receiver or integrated amplifier, or for those already using a separate preamplifier and seeking more solid and dynamic amplification.

Its high-voltage, high-current output stage allows it to effortlessly exceed its rated power, confidently handling even the most demanding musical transients. The “soft clipping” function engages when the amplifier is pushed beyond its limits, intervening gradually to prevent unpleasant distortion and protect both speakers and listener. For users requiring even greater power reserves, two 2155 units configured in bridged mode can deliver nearly triple the output of a single unit, all while keeping the overall cost relatively low.

On the rear panel, Main-In inputs allow connection to a preamplifier, along with terminals for two pairs of speakers (A and B), switches to enable or disable soft clipping and bridging modes, and a speaker impedance selector to optimize available power when using loads of 8 ohms or higher.

The front panel is minimal yet functional, offering power control, speaker pair selectors (A and B), LED indicators for operational status, protection, and soft clipping activation, as well as a headphone output.
