The AMP71 is a power amplifier designed with the exclusive LEF technology developed by Carlos Kandyas. This model features a single-ended circuit in which a single transistor handles the entire music signal, avoiding the typical division of the waveform into positive and negative polarities found in many other amplifiers. This design eliminates the dynamic range inconsistencies that can arise when separate transistors are used for each polarity, ensuring a more linear and coherent sound reproduction.

The inclusion of the LEF circuit allows for high efficiency and power output, characteristic of pure Class A operation, but with significantly reduced heat generation. Thanks to the stability and signal linearity provided by the LEF, there is no need for negative feedback loops. The signal path remains short, direct, and unaltered, resulting in a pure and transparent listening experience.

The entire AMP71 architecture follows a fully balanced differential design: from the input terminal through the volume control, the amplification stage, and up to the speaker output, the audio signal remains completely separate and symmetrical across both channels. The complete dual-mono configuration guarantees full independence between left and right channels, with a symmetrical power supply fed by a 650 VA toroidal transformer, extending from input to speaker terminals. The only shared component is the AC power inlet.

The protection system includes a high-speed monitoring circuit without mechanical contact, constantly checking current, voltage, DC offset, power supply, and other key parameters to ensure maximum reliability.

Volume control is handled by a thin-film resistor with 100 steps, combined with a high-precision single FET for step switching. This mechanism ensures perfect channel balance between left and right, with long-term stability unaffected by time or usage.

The amplifier offers two balanced inputs and four unbalanced inputs, as well as an RCA output for tape recording. All input signals are switched via pulse-controlled relays placed at optimal positions on the board, ensuring signal integrity and fast, accurate response.
