The Naim Mu-so 2nd Generation is a next-generation all-in-one audio system, an evolution of the award-winning original model, completely redesigned by Naim engineers in Salisbury to deliver even higher performance, greater functionality, and more intuitive usability.

The system integrates an advanced streaming platform and an optimized amplification and speaker section, with drivers developed in collaboration with Focal, ensuring extremely detailed high-resolution playback. Listening is rich and well-defined whether playing local digital music files, streaming services, or internet radio.

Processing power is handled by a state-of-the-art multicore digital signal processor (DSP) capable of up to 2000 MIPS, enabling extremely precise signal processing and deeper retrieval of musical information, enhancing overall performance in terms of dynamics, detail, and control.

An advanced limiting system automatically engages at high sound pressure levels to control driver excursion, maintaining clarity even at high volumes while also contributing to long-term system reliability.

At the heart of the device is Naim’s proprietary streaming platform, which enables high-resolution music playback, internet radio, and services such as TIDAL and Spotify, delivering seamless management and reference-level audio quality for its category.

From an aesthetic and functional standpoint, the Mu-so 2nd Generation features an aluminium chassis with an elegant finish and a front grille available in multiple colours. The user interface includes touch-sensitive controls and a backlit volume knob with a proximity sensor that automatically wakes the display for fast and modern operation.

System control is also managed via the Focal & Naim app, providing full access to music libraries, streaming services, radio stations, and artist content, simplifying navigation and the overall listening experience.

The device is also compatible with major home automation systems, integrating seamlessly with platforms such as Control4, Crestron, Elan, RTI, and Savant, enabling centralized and unified control within smart home environments where the audio system becomes an integral part of the connected home infrastructure.
