While maintaining the original push-pull configuration, the Black Edition introduces a completely revised circuit design compared to the original model. Both the signal path and power management have been improved with the goal of reducing distortion and increasing output power. The KT77 Genalex Gold Lion power tubes – four in total, two per channel – now operate in two selectable modes: triode mode for a warmer, more musical sound delivering up to 30 watts per channel, or pentode mode for over 50 watts of dynamic, controlled power. The BIAS is now fully manually adjustable, as is the level of feedback, allowing for extensive personalization of the amplifier’s sonic character.

The preamplifier stage is driven by two ECC83 and one ECC82 Gold Lion tubes, carefully selected for their clarity and harmonic richness. Exceptional care has been taken with signal management: the input selection is handled by shielded relays using Return GND technology – inherited from the brand’s flagship models – which minimizes crosstalk and preserves signal purity.
