The Synthesis Soprano LE is an Italian integrated amplifier that combines elegance, compactness, and meticulous construction. It is a small, refined device with a solid-state preamplifier and a 15-watt per channel valve power section, based on four EL84 pentodes. These valves, though less known than the EL34, are renowned for their bright and harmonic tone, appreciated both in acoustic music and in historic guitar amplifiers such as the Vox AC15 or the Marshall Model 1974.

The Soprano LE features a built-in AKM-based DAC supporting PCM audio up to 24-bit/192 kHz via USB and up to 24/96 kHz on optical and coaxial S/PDIF inputs, along with a phono stage for MM cartridges. DSD playback or MC cartridges are not supported, but its versatility makes it suitable for most modern systems using vinyl and digital sources such as laptops or CD players.

The Limited Edition, produced in only 200 units, stands out with a titanium front panel, higher-quality RCA and speaker terminals, and a numbered plate signed by designer Luigi Lorenzon. Compared to the standard version, the power is increased from 12 to 15 watts per channel, providing more energy and dynamic range.

The EL84 valves are visible on the left side of the front panel and protected by a horizontal black grille that also serves as a heatsink. Controls are minimal and discreet: five small LED buttons for source selection, a larger power button, a remote sensor, and a status LED. The compact design and titanium finish give the Soprano LE a timeless, elegant appearance, reminiscent of classic valve amplifiers from the 1950s.

Despite its relatively modest power, the amplifier delivers rich harmonic content, precise detail reproduction, and an impressive soundstage. With sensitive, even moderately sized speakers, the Soprano LE offers surprising dynamics, refined microdynamics, and a natural tonal balance. In Class A mode, music gains warmth and presence, with richer, more vibrant voices and acoustic instruments, while the treble range relaxes, avoiding harshness. Performance is consistent across sources, from vinyl to digital, always maintaining a harmonious and engaging sound.

The Soprano LE also excels in versatility: it adapts equally well to intimate, delicate tracks as to orchestral compositions or complex rock arrangements, rendering depth and space naturally. It enhances sensitive speakers, transforming every listening session into a pleasurable, immersive, and musically rewarding experience without sacrificing tonal elegance or detail clarity.
