The MA12000 hybrid integrated amplifier is a product of uncompromising audio engineering and expert craftsmanship. It delivers 350 watts per channel of clean, high-performance power, creating a breathtaking home audio experience.

The MA12000 features Hybrid Drive™ technology, which combines the best of vacuum tubes and solid-state technology to deliver outstanding sonic performance. It offers the warm tonal characteristics of a tube preamplifier together with the speed and raw power of a solid-state amplifier, cutting-edge digital audio capabilities, and enough analog audio connections to accommodate virtually any home music system.

The MA12000 is a hybrid design with the preamplifier section powered by (4) 12AX7A vacuum tubes (2 per audio channel), while the 350-watt power amplifier section uses a solid-state design. Autoformer™ technology ensures that the speakers always receive the full 350 watts of power, regardless of whether they have a 2-, 4-, or 8-ohm impedance.

There are 10 analog inputs, including 2 balanced and 6 unbalanced inputs, plus 1 Moving Coil and 1 Moving Magnet input for connecting a turntable. Both phono inputs feature adjustable loading to fine-tune the MA12000 to a specific turntable setup. All unbalanced analog connectors are made from solid brass with gold plating for superior signal handling and proper grounding. The MA12000 also includes 1 balanced and 1 unbalanced output for connecting an additional amplifier in another area of the home.

For digital music, the MA12000 is equipped with the DA2 Digital Audio module, which includes 7 digital audio inputs: 2 coaxial, 2 optical, 1 USB, 1 MCT (for use with MCT series SACD/CD transports), and 1 HDMI Audio Return Channel (ARC) audio-only connection. The DA2 is powered by a state-of-the-art 8-channel, 32-bit Quad Balanced digital-to-analog converter (DAC), providing improved dynamic range and reduced total harmonic distortion. The DA2 supports high-resolution digital audio playback, as the USB input supports native playback up to DSD512 and DXD up to 384 kHz, while the coaxial and optical inputs can decode digital music up to 24-bit/192 kHz.

The HDMI (ARC) input allows compatible TVs with HDMI (ARC) output to be connected to the MA12000 and the home stereo system, delivering a level of audio performance far beyond what TV speakers or soundbars can achieve. Popular Dolby® and DTS® multichannel audio formats are supported and converted for proper 2-channel playback. When CEC communication is enabled on both the MA12000 and the TV, the TV remote can control the MA12000’s power on/off and volume. The DA2 module can be replaced with future modules to keep the MA12000 up to date with new digital audio formats and technologies as they are developed.

The top of the MA12000 features updated design elements. The Autoformers and power transformer are now housed in a new enclosure with a glass top, crowned by a glass nameplate surrounded by a decorative trim ring. Key performance specifications and a detailed block diagram are printed on five glass panels.
